Order the house drink (rum, tequila, and orange and cranberry juice served in a bucket glass with a lime) named after Beat Generation icon and "On the Road" author Jack Kerouac, who frequented the bar. Loaded with gritty atmosphere, the joint attracts artists, musicians, poets and all-around characters
This is seems to be only partially correct. The Vesuvio's website (we didn't actually visit the bar) doesn't mention the cocktail or anything similar

Ingredients:
2 oz. rum
1 oz. tequila
Orange juice and/or cranberry juice
Lime
Instructions: In a bucket glass over ice, add rum, tequila and juice. Add a twist of lime and like dig it, cat.
